What is Jaw Slimming and Jaw contouring?

Jaw slimming is a procedure designed to soften the facial contours of the jawline making the lower part of the face narrower giving a face more youthful and feminine appearance. This treatment usually involves treating masseter muscles. The masseter muscles will gradually reduce in size, making the lower face and jaw look slimmer.

This effect can be further enhanced by cheek augmentation. Jaw slimming is typically indicated in individuals with a square jaw and wanting to have the perfect V-shape. Individuals who feel that their jaw is far too large and does not fit their face, may also seek jaw slimming treatment. This treatment is also usually helpful in individuals who grind their teeth. This procedure is especially popular with Asian population having a squarish jaw.
