Our courses are designed for Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) as well as GPs who have a specialist interest in MSK (Musculoskeletal) care.

Whether you're looking to enhance your clinical skills or gain more confidence in specific assessment and treatment techniques, our training is tailored to meet your needs.

Each 2-hour session is highly practical, with a strong focus on hands-on learning in a physiotherapy setting. We keep group sizes small to ensure every attendee receives maximum practical exposure and personalised guidance throughout the course.

Richard Wood

With over 30 years of experience as a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist, Richard Wood brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and a passion for teaching to every course he delivers.

Throughout his career, Richard has worked across a wide range of settings, including  - Orthopaedic clinics, Sports and MSK services, and A&E Departments, developing a broad and in-depth understanding of musculoskeletal care. He has played a leading role in first contact practice within Primary Care and continues to deliver Injection Therapy training to GPs across the UK.

Richard has a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of knee conditions, with a focus on distinguishing between patello-femoral and tibio-femoral disorders. His approach combines expert clinical examination with an understanding of when and how to use radiological investigations to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

Currently, Richard leads several specialist services, including a Soft Tissue Review Clinic, an Acute Knee Clinic, and a dedicated clinic for first-time patella dislocations. He also provides ongoing supervision and mentorship to MSK physiotherapists, supporting the rehabilitation of a wide range of knee-related conditions.

Richard’s depth of experience and commitment to practical, evidence-based care make him a valued educator and an inspiring tutor for healthcare professionals at all levels.
